Thou Walla Sunset Retreat offers luxury self-contained villas as well as glamping safari tents all offering views of the headland or water. Guests enjoy an outdoor swimming pool.

This Thou Walla Sunset Retreat is only 10 minutes’ drive from Nelson Bay. Soldiers Point Bowling Club is a 15-minute walk away. Guests can enjoy a stroll around the adjacent Marina, which offers a variety of dining and takeaway options.

All air-conditioned accommodation features a fully equipped kitchen and a private bathroom. The glamping safari tents offer basic tea/coffee making facilities and private Eco-friendly amenities. All bed linen is provided. Free private parking is available for 1 car per booking. You can watch the sunset over the water from the comfort of your private villa or luxury tent.

Thou Walla Sunset Retreat features an outdoor barbecue area and a guest laundry. The tour booking service can arrange local activities. A tennis court is available opposite the property for an additional charge.

Comfort in the heart of nature
We loved our little glamping spot, it was comfortable and plenty of room for our family of 4 with the kids in their own closed off section. The day bed was such a lovely spot to sit and look out at the trees and the water, just watch out because the possums will hop right on your lap to try to get your snacks! (We loved this encounter with nature though!) We also saw a koala!! So close to delicious food at the marina, gorgeous sunsets over the beach, calm beaches surrounding which were perfect for our toddlers to play around at. We will be back!
Our tent was right by the marina (tent 3) and surrounded by trees FULL with hundreds of corellas (birds) that would not shut up all. Night. Long. It didn't really affect our sleep, our kids had white noise, but in future I'd opt for tents 7-10 if I had the choice. Also, pool was freezing, wish it were heated, that's not so much a gripe but if I could change anything that would be it.
